Leah + Eli | Brisbane & Sunshine Coast Wedding

Leah & Eli’s wedding day was full of tradition, emotion & lots of great memories. We started the morning at their Latter-day Saints Temple at Kangaroo Point. Eli arrived first & waited for Leah in the bottom garden. You can see the excitement on Leah’s face before she walked down to meet her soon to be husband; she was practically jumping out of her skin to get down to see him. She walked down through a square stone archway & tapped him on the shoulder. The look on Eli’s face was full of love & admiration. Leah looked elegant in her Madi Lane Bridal dress & Eli equally dapper in his Male Manor suit.

After their first look they headed into the Temple for their marriage ceremony. Those of us who aren’t apart of their faith mingled out the front until they re-emerged as Husband & Wife. After the congratulatory hugs & family photos, we headed north towards the Sunshine Coast.

As their wedding was on the Friday before a long weekend we all got stuck in crazy traffic. But in true Leah & Eli fashion, they had to make a stop off to get some Krispy Kreme Doughnuts on the way. When we all arrived at the second location we had a picnic lunch in the pine forest & took the newly weds off for a moment alone.

Their reception was held on Leah’s parent’s property in Dulong which overlooks lush green farmland of the valley around. The weather was closing in on us as more family & friends joined them to celebrate their love. They had a second ring exchange ceremony with all of their nearest & dearest present. And just as they sealed their love with a kiss the sky opened up & the rain came down.

Thankfully the rain didn’t last long & we were able to catch a little bit of final light before the day turned to night. As the everyone enjoyed their time mingling under the marquee the smell of pizza filled the air. That Pizza Guy put on an incredible spread of pizza’s for the evening & the BEST garlic pizza I’ve ever tasted! The rest of the night included heartfelt speeches, video messages sent from family in England, laughter, tears & some wild dance moves. A day to be remembered for eternity.
